Money Management
Sports Investment is no different than investing your capital in other types of investments...real estate, stock market or gold just to name a few. You must take the time to think through what you want to accomplish and what your ultimate goal might be....in other words you must develop an investment plan.
SPORTS INVESTMENT FUND: In an ideal investment situation good investors will periodically add funds to their investment...whether on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis. Your SIF should be no different, make your investment plan include this growth managed funding.
DISCIPLINE: This is by far the most important fundamental of sound sports investing. You must keep your emotions and hunches out of the equation at all times. This is where a top quality handicapping service comes into play. Most solid stock market investors use professional advice from a reputable financial firm. You should really consider doing the same thus keeping your emotions, hunches and chasing recent losses in check.
ESTABLISH YOUR OBJECTIVES AND MEASURE YOUR RESULTS: Would most of us be happy in the current market with an annual return on investment of 15%...of course we would...what about 25-30 or even 40%...we would be elated! Well let's use the following information as a simple example of sound sports investing: Mr B is a solid investor with great discipline. He starts with a SIF of $10,000 and lets just say he bets all 2* picks @ 2% or $200 risk wager per game...winning at a modest 55% rate and betting an average of 12 games per week for an entire year....Mr B would have wagered on 624 games while winning 343 x $182 = $62426 in winnings...Mr B lost 281 games x $200 = $56200 in losses...Mr B's profit on the 624 games in one full year is $6226 or a very handsome 62% return on investment....can your stock broker produce those kind of ROI's. Notice we used a full year of investing because we ultimately think it is the proper term for measurement for all investments. Remember SPORTS INVESTING is a long term investment with ups and downs just like the Dow Jones...we must have the plan and discipline to sustain in both the bear as well as the bull markets.
OUR MONEY MANAGEMENT: Quality Sports Handicapping grades every game released as a 2* thru 5* investment...our system is very simple yet contains every aspect of disipline and sound investing. A 2* = 2%, 3* = 3%, 4* = 4% and 5* = 5%....Our system suggest you wager those percentages of your current SIF on our graded games. For example on a given day our SIF is $10,000 and we are going to wager on three (3) games...a 2* and two 3*'s. Our risk wager would be $200 and two at $300...notice we said risk wager...we NEVER BET UP so to speak wagering $220 and $330. Our risk wager always matches the percentage of our graded star game X our existing SIF. So let's see how we did...we win the 2* and one of the 3* and lose the other 3*....We won $182 on the 2* and $273 on the 3* and lost $300 on the other 3* for a net profit for the day of $155....we add that profit to our SIF and our bets the following day would be based on the Star Percentage of $10,155.
WHAT TO REMEMBER: Discipline with lack of emotion and hunches, a solid investment plan and top quality graded selections are the keys factors. QUALITY SPORTS HANDICAPPING can provide you the investment plan and top graded selections....you must provide the DISCIPLINE!
